Further proof the NRA DOES NOT support the constitution! When will people wake up?

One issue that’s received a lot of publicity this year is the “Firearms Freedom Act” – state legislation that tries to exempt firearms, ammunition and accessories from federal regulation, as long as the gun or other item is made in a single state, for use only in that state. This legislation was enacted this year in Montana and Tennessee, and proposed elsewhere.

The idea behind the legislation is to challenge federal gun laws in court. While reducing federal controls is a worthy goal, this kind of litigation faces major obstacles – mainly because the Supreme Court has given Congress a very long leash when it comes to activities that could affect interstate commerce. (For example, just four years ago, the Supreme Court held that the federal government could still enforce federal drug laws against Californians who grow marijuana for medical use.) Because of these issues, the NRA will continue to focus on the other kinds of pro-gun legislation described in these pages.

An even more important point is that no one should try to take advantage of the Montana or Tennessee “Firearms Freedom Acts” without consulting a competent attorney and being preparted to pay large legal fees. Anyone who makes firearms commercially, without complying with federal law, is likely to be prosecuted. “Firearms Freedom Act” supporters have never planned to test these laws in criminal cases, and no one who puts himself in that situation should expect support from the NRA.

A Man with a Kimber Model 1911 .45 ACP Posted A special message posted on Craig’s List Proof why we all need firearms

We got this via e-mail from a friend. You will love it as it is funny as all get up.

Posted to Craig’s List / Personals:

To the Guy Who Tried to Mug Me in Downtown Savannah night before
last. Date: 2009-05-27, 1:43 A M EST. I was the guy wearing the black
Burberry jacket that you demanded that I hand over, shortly after you pulled
the knife on me and my girlfriend threatening our lives. You also asked for
my girlfriend’s purse and earrings. I can only hope that you somehow come
across this rather important message.

First, I’d like to apologize for your embarrassment, I didn’t expect
you to actually crap in your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my
jacket. The evening was not that cold, and I was wearing the jacket for a
reason. My girlfriend had just bought me that Kimber Model 1911 .45 A CP
pistol for my birthday, and we had picked up a shoulder holster for it that
very evening. Obviously you agree that it is a very intimidating weapon when
pointed at your head … isn’t it! I know it probably wasn’t fun walking
back to wherever you’d come from with that brown sludge in your pants. I’m
sure it was even worse walking bare footed since I made you leave your your
shoes, cell-phone, and wallet with me. [That prevented you from calling or
running to your buddies to come help mug us again].

After I called your mother, or “Momma” as you had her listed in your
cell, I explained the entire episode of what you’d done. Then I went and
filled up my gas tank as well as four other people’s in the gas station on
your credit card. The guy with the big motor home took 150 gallons and was
extremely grateful! I gave your shoes to a homeless guy outside Vinnie Van
Go Go’s, along with all the cash in your wallet. [That made his day!] I then
threw your wallet into the big pink “pimp mobile” that was parked at the
curb … after I broke the windshield and side window and keyed the entire
driver’s side of the car.

Later, I called a bunch of phone sex numbers from your cell phone.
Ma Bell just now shut down the line, although I only used the phone for a
little over a day now, so what’s going on with that? Earlier, I managed to
get in two threatening phone calls to the DA’s office and one to the FBI,
while mentioning President Obama as my possible target. The FBI guy seemed
really intense and we had a nice long chat (I guess while he traced your
number etc.). In a way, perhaps I should apologize for not killing you …
but I feel this type of retribution is a far more appropriate punishment for
your threatened crime. I wish you well as you try to sort through some of
these rather immediate pressing issues, and can only hope that you have the
opportunity to reflect upon, and perhaps reconsider the career path you’ve
chosen to pursue in life.
Remember, next time you might not be so lucky. Have a good day!

Thoughtfully yours,
Alex
P.S. Remember this motto…An armed society makes for a more civil
society!

Further proof to the gun lies put out by our government News you need to see!

This video claims to be from the NRA. However it was not produced by paid for by the NRA. They supported the first ILLEGAL “assult” weapon ban. With all that said, it is even further proof of the lies put out by obama, the dems, and the government controlled media. (CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, pMSNBC, New York Times, LA Times and all other “major” newspapers) We have proven this before, however this comes from a different angle to our report.

Police illegally taking guns and ammo by force here is the proof

This has happened before.

It WILL happen again!

As we have said an armed society is a polite society. Here is some more proof

A Florida man was at home when a burglar knocked on his door. After the resident refused to open the door, the burglar is said to have gone around the house and then broken in through a window. Realizing that his home was being invaded, the resident reportedly grabbed his gun and shot the suspect, who then fled. Police found a suspect, Carlos Contreras, at a local hospital where he was allegedly seeking treatment for the gunshot wound. Contreras was arrested, and police say that he was the same man who broke into the victim’s home earlier that day.
Just goes to show what a well armed man with the right gun and ammo, can do to protect themselves. I say every man woman and child should have at least a pistol, and see the crime rate drop!

4 Gun Law Facts that can not and should not be IGNORED!

Comparisons between countries are not useful. Unfortunately, direct comparisons based solely on crime rates and gun laws tell very little about whether gun control actually works. Social scientists believe that gun control is only one of many factors that influence rates of violence.

Guns are frequently used to stop crimes. To the Founding Fathers, the right to bear arms for self-protection was essential if citizens were to be truly free, but this essential fact rarely saw the light of day in the mainstream media.

Most guns used in crimes are illegally acquired. Like it or not, banning guns only takes them out of the hands of law-abiding citizens, making it easier for people with no respect for the law to attack their victims.

Gun control laws have no proven effect. At worst, gun control laws leave law-abiding citizens defenseless before rapacious criminals, and at best, they may not affect violence at all.”

If your objective is to stop gun crime, then these four facts must be considered. If your objective is to take guns away from law-abiding citizens, then these facts will be ignored. Clearly, the drive-by government controlled media’s objective is the latter.

Desert Eagle micro 380 ACP Review

Let’s face it: the firearms market has been absolutely saturated with concealed carry guns chambered in the feisty little .380acp. The most popular thus far has been the inexpensive Ruger LCP. Unfortunately, the LCP has been affected by a safety recall. Some early units were not drop-safe– not exactly a good proposition for a gun that is supposed to hurt the bad guy and not you or a friendly in the process. My personal experience with the LCP is that it does not reliably feed the 6th round from the magazine. Lightly coating my rounds with CLP was an easy stopgap solution, but I want bulletproof reliability in a concealed carry weapon. So, I passed on the LCP.

And Ruger is not the only resident of 380 Recall Land. Sig Sauer’s new P238 hasn’t been on the market for long and is already on recall– and the situation is even more dire. Deactivating the safety lever may cause the gun to fire! Thousands of P238s recently arrived at one of our suppliers and every unit had to go back to Sig as a precaution. Also, the aluminum grip panels that were shown on the gun at Shot Show are now made of plastic– causing an uproar among buyers. Frankly, once a gun has been involved in a safety recall, especially of this magnitude, I can no longer trust it for defensive carry. So, the Sig Sauer P238 is off my list too.

Kahr’s new PM380 is ultra compact and easily has the best trigger of the bunch. Kahrs have always been known for their buttery smooth double action trigger pulls. Reliability will probably be ahead of the curve too. Once we get one of these in, we’ll certainly take it out for a range test.

Walther debuted its new PK380, but it’s rather large for a .380acp. In this form factor, you’re probably better off with the excellent and super slim Walther PPS in the more potent 9mm cartridge. This leads us to what is, in my opinion, the best new .380acp on the market: the Micro Desert Eagle by Magnum Research.

The Micro Eagle is the only steel gun in the group and a stunning piece of engineering artistry. The proprietary nickel Teflon finish that Magnum Research uses is very attractive, slick, and resistant to corrosion– not unlike hard chrome. Of course, this is an important attribute for a concealed carry firearm considering the amount of sweat the gun will be exposed to during its service life.

I took the Micro Desert Eagle to the range this morning with 50rds of ancient ammunition that I found at the shop. Recoil is refreshingly light thanks to its robust steel construction. However, the trigger is 14 days long and over 8 pounds– something you’ll have to learn to live with it. My accuracy at 25ft is on par with other micro .380acps that I’ve fired (see target) and nothing to brag about. I’ve found it best to shoot the Micro Eagle single-handed because the large trigger guard makes your weak hand placement incredibly important– lest you want to lose a digit during fire. In fact, the slide had a big orange sticker from the factory reminding you of this potential danger!

The Micro Eagle’s sights are miniscule, but useable. Although the price point seems high ($431), you’re getting a steel-framed handgun and you get what you pay for. Take down is fascinatingly elegant. Simply drop the magazine, clear the weapon, move the slide to the rear so its takedown line synchs up with the takedown line on the frame, rotate the barrel clockwise, and the slide comes forward off the frame. It’s actually pretty fun to field strip the little bugger! And its most important feature of all: the Micro Eagle is not on a safety recall– which seems like a rarity when you consider the woes Sig Sauer and Ruger have shared lately.

NRA supports further violations of second amendment by remaining silent!

If the NRA were the gun rights proponents they clam to be they would be up in arms (excuse the pun please) over HR2640.

Ignoring the wishes of grassroots gun owners, and doing the bidding of Sarah Brady, State Rep. Scott Gunderson is still pushing AB70, the bill to expand the National Instant Check System (NICS) in Wisconsin.

The silence by the institutional gun lobby on this dangerous anti-gun bill has been splitting ear drums. NRA-ILA e-mail alerts have not mentioned a peep about this bill, which is being dubbed by WGO the “Veterans Disarmament Act.”

Assembly Bill 70 and Senate Bill 44 would dangerously expand state-level back ground checks to include far-reach medical data.

As mentioned in previous alerts, the federal version of this gun control scheme, HR2640, was passed into law by what most gun owners considered a betrayal of trust by congressional republicans and the NRA last year.

Gun Owners of America (GOA), the National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR) and Wisconsin Gun Owners, Inc. (WGO) (along with an army of rock-solid state-level gun rights organizations from across the country ) steadfastly opposed the mental health bills on the basis that it would subject gun owners and their rights to arbitrary “diagnosis” by psychiatrists.

It was passed into law and has since become a virtual nightmare for thousands of veterans. Nightmarish stories are already surfacing about gun owners who lost the right to keep and bear arms without due process.

All it takes is one anti-gun government mental health crony to declare you “adjudicated mentally defective” and you lose your guns.

And now state republicans are sneaking this same anti-scheme behind your back in Madison. Last week State Rep. Scott Gunderson — who has never returned WGO’s Candidate Survey —introduced an amendment to the bill, breathing new life into the anti-gun scheme.

Gun owners and NRA members are urged to contact NRA to ask why, “Why the silence?”
and Please report the reson you get to us, here at Guns and Ammo Enthusiast Blog and we will report them all to you.

HR45 rears it’s ugly head AGAIN!

…the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. — Amendment II

Those 14 words, perhaps more than any others in the U.S. Constitution, have inspired discussions, arguments and legal debates for years and years.

Now, legislation introduced in January by Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL) and lingering in the House Judiciary Committee has stirred up emotions on both sides of the gun control issue and once again brought these words into the spotlight.

Rush’s bill, the Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act (H.R. 45), establishes a federal licensing and registration regime under the direction of the U.S. Attorney General and would make it a criminal act not to register as an owner of a firearm.

The bill will also:

· Establish a federal licensing requirement for ownership of handguns and semiautomatic weapons, not including antiques, with application requirements which include a photograph of the gun owner, fingerprinting of the gun owner, a current address, a completed, written firearms safety test, and private mental health records. These licenses must be renewed every five years;

· Create a federal registration database for handguns and semiautomatics to which every new sale or transfer — including transfers among private individuals — in America must be reported within 14 days;

· Require a background check to be performed in any transfer of guns and provides penalties of up to two years in jail for failure to comply with any licensing or background check requirements.

· Establish penalties of up to 10 years for parents whose children gain access to their firearms unless they meet certain federally-established requirements.

It should be noted there are already federally required background checks for purchasing weapons. A government database of all gun owners or longer waiting periods will not keep criminals from getting their hands on a gun.

Furthermore, this bill does nothing to curb the criminals who would use handguns to commit a crime. Just the opposite — it would turn law-abiding citizens into lawbreakers for overlooking one of many forms or address verification.

Any bill which would require photographing and fingerprinting for simply possessing a firearm flies in the face of our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms.

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees — and as the U.S. Supreme Court definitively ruled in District of Columbia v Heller — the American people have the right to keep and bear arms.

As a member of the National Rifle Association and the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, I will work with my colleagues in the House of Representatives to promote legislation protecting our constitutional rights and oppose legislation, such as H.R. 45, which restricts such rights.

We need to work harder to ensure the safety of our citizens, but we must do so in a way which protects our Constitutionally-guaranteed rights.

Our country’s founding fathers understood how important the principle of the Second Amendment is in ensuring our basic freedoms. They had faith in the citizens of America. We should have the same faith in our fellow countrymen today.

A lesson in American history and gun control history. A Must read for all firearm owners.

Almost everyone here in the US can tell you what was to be the first battle in our War of Independence. The Battle of Lexington Green in Massachusetts in April, 1775. Paul Revere, riding his horse throughout the night spreading the word that the “The British are coming, the British are coming!”

But what’s now conveniently left out of the US History textbooks today is why the British were coming.

And why was that?

Here’s what they’re leaving out: General Thomas Gage, military governor of Massachusetts, under direct orders of King George, decided to counter these moves by sending a force out of Boston to confiscate weapons stored in the village of Concord.

Confiscate the weapons…

And why did the British was the weapons confiscated? Well, to be able to properly control one’s subjects, first you must be able to take away their ability to resist. It’s the main reason our founding Fathers put the Second Amendment into the Bill of Rights, or collectively, the First 10 Amendments to the Constitution. They, of all people knew that any Government could grow to distrust its people, and in time, subjugate them. The only way to really insure that this would never happen is to give the citizens the tools in which to defend themselves from tyranny.

Take away the guns, you have slaves.

Here in the US there’s one insurance policy on “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” And along with the First Amendment, the freedom of speech, is the right to keep and bear arms.

“A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

The use of the word “Militia” is that every man, from the age of 17 to 60 is the Militia. It doesn’t mean the National Guard.

“A militia, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves…and include all men capable of bearing arms.” (Richard Henry Lee, Additional Letters from the Federal Farmer (1788) “What, Sir, is the use of a militia? It is to prevent the establishment of a standing army, the bane of liberty…. Whenever Governments mean to invade the rights and liberties of the people, they always attempt to destroy the militia, in order to raise an army upon their ruins.” (Rep. Elbridge Gerry of Massachusetts, spoken during floor debate over the Second Amendment, I Annals of Congress at 750 August 17, 1789

“…to disarm the people – that was the best and most effectual way to enslave them.” (George Mason, 3 Elliot, Debates at 380)

“Americans have the right and advantage of being armed – unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.” (James Madison, The Federalist Papers #46 at 243-244)

“the ultimate authority … resides in the people alone,” (James Madison, author of the Bill of Rights, in Federalist Paper #46.)

“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any bands of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States” (Noah Webster in `An Examination into the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution’, 1787, a pamphlet aimed at swaying Pennsylvania toward ratification, in Paul Ford, ed., Pamphlets on the Constitution of the United States, at 56(New York, 1888))

“…if raised, whether they could subdue a Nation of freemen, who know how to prize liberty, and who have arms in their hands?” (Delegate Sedgwick, during the Massachusetts Convention, rhetorically asking if an oppressive standing army could prevail, Johnathan Elliot, ed., Debates in the Several State Conventions on the Adoption of the Federal Constitution, Vol.2 at 97 (2d ed., 1888))

“…but if circumstances should at any time oblige the government to form an army of any magnitude, that army can never be formidable to the liberties of the people, while there is a large body of citizens, little if at all inferior to them in discipline and use of arms, who stand ready to defend their rights…” (Alexander Hamilton speaking of standing armies in Federalist 29.)

“Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation. . . Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.” (James Madison, author of the Bill of Rights, in Federalist Paper No. 46.)

“As civil rulers, not having their duty to the people before them, may attempt to tyrannize, and as the military forces which must be occasionally raised to defend our country, might pervert their power to the injury of their fellow citizens, the people are confirmed by the article in their right to keep and bear their private arms.” (Tench Coxe in `Remarks on the First Part of the Amendments to the Federal Constitution’ under the Pseudonym `A Pennsylvanian’ in the Philadelphia Federal Gazette, June 18, 1789 at 2 col. 1)

“Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American… The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state government, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people” (Tench Coxe, Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788)

“The prohibition is general. No clause in the Constitution could by any rule of construction be conceived to give to Congress a power to disarm the people. Such a flagitious attempt could only be made under some general pretense by a state legislature. But if in any blind pursuit of inordinate power, either should attempt it, this amendment may be appealed to as a restraint on both.” [William Rawle, A View of the Constitution 125-6 (2nd ed. 1829)

But the powers that be are, right now, and have been for quite some time, slowly taking that one thing, the very key to our Republic and our voice. Because once you’ve taken the tools away to defend ourselves, to rise up against tyranny, all the other Amendments in the Bill of Rights will topple one after the other like a house of cards.

Adolph Hitler disarmed the countries he invaded, even his own people. So did Stalin.

The one freedom I hold the dearest is the ability here in the States to defend my home and family from intruders. While each of the 50 State’s laws vary on the subject, for the most part (for now) if someone is breaking into your home at 3 AM, you can defend your home and family by whatever means is at your disposal. No laws saying you have to see if he’s armed or predetermine what his intentions are.

At 3 AM, or at any time for that matter, if someone is in my home without my permission, I’d have to conclude his reasons are nefarious and he’s not trying to sell me a subscription to the Weekly Standard. He’s getting “X” Ringed in short order.

Like I said before, the Government is slowly taking every last freedom away from us, but to be completely successful they first have to take away our guns.

“The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed.” (Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist Papers at 184-8) “The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” (Thomas Jefferson)

And now where does that leave us?

But I hear the argument all the time. “But Tommy, the criminals are getting the guns! We have to stop that!”

Well, here the news for you nimrods who don’t get it. The criminals will always have guns. Do you really think the criminals are going to obey the laws? Look at Great Britain. Has their gun bans stopped the criminals? You can not own a firearm in Britain and yet the shootings have skyrocketed. And if you are one of the very lucky few to actually own a legal firearm in Britain, use it to defend yourself and see what happens to you. British police are now arming themselves for the first time. Hmm. Bobbies arming themselves?

Those gun laws are really working out for, aren’t they? Gun crimes soaring despite ban brought in following Dunblane.

Every place here in the States where the gun laws are the most stringent, the crime rates have gone through the roof. Where I lived in Arizona, almost everyone had at least one firearm and carried one regularly and there was almost no violent crime.

And what about Kennesaw, Georgia? Gun town U.S.A., revisited – success of Kennesaw, GA’s gun ownership requirement law in preventing crime

That’s a story the Left doesn’t like to talk about. But then on the other side of the coin, Washington DC has the most restrictive gun laws in the country, yet the homicide rates are though the roof.

The only thing taking away the people rights to own guns achieves is effectively enslaving them.

“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let’s not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country.” –Adolf Hitler, dinner talk on April 11, 1942

Kind of gives you the Warm & Fuzzies, doesn’t it?

Did you know that the Gun Control Act of 1968, the most restrictive legislation on gun ownership to date, is almost verbatim of Nazi Germany’s “Weapons Control Law” of 1938?

It’s far too large to reproduce here, but you can look it up if you don’t believe me.

“But Tommy! What’s wrong with banning machineguns and other military weapons?”

It’s not about the type of weapons. It’s just the slow chipping away of freedoms. They did it with this type of gun today, and they’ll use that rationale in every instance. It was the type, then the magazines, next it’ll be the type or how much ammunition you can buy, then how many guns you can own… Like a single drop of water on a granite boulder. Enough drops of seemingly harmless water over the years will completely erode the rock.

As for machineguns. Did you know it’s still legal to own a fully automatic firearm here in the States? They’re regulated to all hell and expensive, but you can legally own a machinegun here. I have several friends that own them. They’re called “Title III” or “Class III” weapons. You’ll pay as much as the cost of a brand new car for a legally transferable M-16, but you can still legally own one. And not once, ONCE mind you, has one of those legal automatic weapons ever been used in the commission of a crime.

My final words are this;

Gun ownership is not about duck hunting or target shooting.

It’s about your personal freedom.
