Has the NRA EVER been on the right side of the constitution?
We here at the Guns and Ammo Enthusiast Blog are for the constitution as written today. We are for the Bill of Right’s, and for the Amendment’s to the Constitution. To that end, we have seen the NRA (National Rifle Association) the biggest so called “gun rights” group in the country today, support laws that plan in fact volate the constitution. Below are just a few.
The Federal Firearms Act of 1938 places the first limitations on selling ordinary firearms. Persons selling guns are required to obtain a Federal Firearms License, at an annual cost of $1, and to maintain records of the name and address of persons to whom firearms are sold. Gun sales to persons convicted of violent felonies were prohibited. Supported by the NRA Not to mention the 1984 and 1986 laws prohibiting fully automatic firearma again. Again as we have said violates the secondamendment.
Amendment 2: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
No where does it state anything about the number, type, or anything else. Simple “The Right of the People to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT be infringed. So every single law they (the NRA) has supported violates this law.
Amendment 10: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
RE: National Concealed Carry Reciprocity or National Reciprocity act of 2009. Forcing the states to excepts permits from other states no matter the state. This attempted law this year was a major violation of the Amendment
So again I ask. Is the NRA ever on the correct side of the constitution? If you know of one please post it here!
