You get what you pay for. And I do not think Rossi is that wonderful a product line. I have the circuit judge and I think the workmanship on the forearm is crude. And this was a 550.00 rifle.

I bought a Henry Repeating arms 44 mag rifle. I payed 700.00 on sale. You want to talk about craftmanship! 100% American Made! Tight as can be! Dead on! You can spend a lot more, but there is no need to. Henry, a great rifle at a great price point!

I purchased a Rossi 44 mag leveraction stainless from Buds gunshop to use in the Indiana rifle season. When the rifle was delivered I discovered it wouldn't release shells from the magazine or cycle. I phoned Buds and was told I needed to call Rossi. After some time I convenced Rossi to accept the rifle for repair. The Indiana season is over and Rossi has had the rifle for over a month and no one there can tell me when I will receive it back. This gun is unfired. My recommendation is not order guns. Buy locally so if it doesn't work you can take it back. Spend a little more and buy a Marlin.
