I will never buy wolf again, I ran 80 rounds through my dpms .223 and 2 rounds wouldn't feed due to the cheap metal the casing is made of and 1 misfire. 3 out of 80 isn't the best results in my book, not to mention some AR makers will void warranties if they discover problems were cause due to subgrade foreign ammo, so I no longer even use Wolf as a ammo to just burn up at the range. The same day fired many rounds of pmc and remington without a single issue. I also noticed the ammo seemed to walk a bit on paper but that may have just been me. I noticed some people in the forum have had good luck with wolf but it seems to be mostly handgun rounds.

Just to give some info to u guys, some firearms just dont take well to steel casing or it may just be your magazine. I figured that out after shooting some bunk ammo called "Ulyanovsk" outa my fs2000. DONT EVVER BUY THIS AMMO. I had 2 clips of this ammo and i t wouldnt cycle and or it would jam... BAD. I called my dealer about the malfunctioning weapon (I was not happy as i thought the gun wasnt working correctly) he asked if i used different mags. I told him used 2 so it wasnt that. But then he asked about the ammo i was using and i told him what kind and he said it may be because of the steel casing. So my friend gave me 20 rnds of brass casing .223. I put 10 in each clip and they both rapidly fired flawlessly. The reason to this is that the extractor cant hold on to the steel casing as well as the brass so it wont function correctly. Thats the reason why the millitary uses brass casing. Hope i helped.

I took three boxes of Wolf out this Sunday. Brand new HK USP .45. Pruported to eat all forms of rounds with ease. All seemed well. The last mag full (12 rds) went thusly: first round lit. Second round lit and jammed half way outta the chamber. Dropped the clip and muscled the spent (and cracked) case out. Replaced the mag. The next round did the same thing, half ejected and jammed so dropped the mag and let the slide back in whereupon the case refused to eject. Holstered said expensive iron and took it to the bench at home to brass drift the stuck case out. Cracked same as the first. I have no other explanation other than I just got what I paid for; cheap crappy ammo. I'll try brass the next time out and will probably have learned my lesson. I hope...

Sounds like there are some mixed experiences with Wolf Ammo. Over the past few months I have put 500 rounds of .45 ACP through a S&W 1911 and have not had a single problem. The ammo definitely seems to be dirtier than others I've tried, but it's very accurate and has never failed me....just my two cents' worth based on personal experience.

Fired about 40 rounds of Wolf .223 Military steel-cased through my Sig 556 with no problems. A round from the third box failed to fire. The round jammed up the entire bolt mechanism. I had to pay the range gunsmith $25 to clear the jam. The responsible round had the bullet jammed all the way into the shell and was still live. Had this round gone off in the chamber I could have had a catastrophic failure which could have ruined my weapon and caused injury to myself. This stuff isn't just junk; it's unsafe. Stay away from it.

I definately would recommend buying a brands other than wolf. I bought a box for my. 45 auto and had my only malfunctions ever with that box. Never had one not fire just lots of chambering issues. I suggest spending a few extra bucks on something different.

Sorry for those hate wolf ammo. I recently shot at 200yds in my savage bolt action, model 10, with wolf 62 hp and the spread was less than 2 inches. My friends that is pretty good for cheap ammo. Therefore; you can stop buying wolf and I will pick it up.

I recently bought 1000 rounds of .223 and wasted a day going to the range where they wouldn't let me shoot the ammo. In California any ferrous content in the projectile and you cannot shoot it! They confiscate the ammo until you leave. I checked the website and the dealer's website and there's this mealy mouthed, intentional misrepresentation of the ammo. "Bi-metal". It is actually steel jacket with copper plating. Why not say it? Because I would not have bought it if they did. Whether or not the ammo is good quality or great value, I don't like being intentionally misled, or lied to. The dealer claims they don't do anything but use the manufacturer's marketing info, thus avoiding (they think) responsibility for mis-representing the product. It is a delicate legal dance to claim that this is truly "misrepresentation", since they do not state anything about the content that is specific. If it said solid gold or depleted uranium and it was not, then there'd be a case. And this is my point. They know what they are doing and do it to mislead!

I purchased a new Rock River pro-series government model for work (Great Rifle). I sighted in the weapon with federal 55 grain FMJBT and was getting .5 inch groups. I then started shooting wolf 55 grain FMJ with steal cases. The first mag I had a miss fire (no big deal) it the same mag I had an empty shell get stuck in the chamber. I later talked with my local gun smith and he advised me that shooting wolf ammo voids most gun makers factory warranty. And advised me to stop shooting wolf ammo. Bottom line from as Infantry grunt and now a full time veteran cop. WOLF AMMO IS JUNK!
